Learn the latest methods to keep you safe in the field and healthy in life at the NFPA's First Responder Health Forum, a day of expert speakers and networking at NFPA’s Conference & Expo 2017.
 
Featured presentations include; Commissioner Joe Finn of the Boston Fire Department cardiac risks, cancer prevention, fitness requirements, occupational health, and safety policy. Commissioner Joe Finn, Boston FD sharing his launch of a safety, health and wellness campaign, with cancer prevention at its core, for the BFD; Chief Kevin Quinn of the NVFC telling his  story how a routine fire department medical screening saved his life, uncovering a potentially fatal cardiac condition and allowing him to be treated and return to full firefighting duties; and a  panel discussion facilitated by the IAFF that will discuss the established science and research that has been completed on flame retardants and studies that have been completed on exposures to fire fighters. The event will take place from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Admission to the event includes breakfast and lunch along with several other educational sessions.
