The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has teamed up with U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration to offer a series of two webinars covering the key points of the National Traffic Incident Management Responder course. These free webinars will take place May 23 and May 29, but advanced registration is encouraged. Total Cost of Fire Up 38 Percent from 1980
The National Fire Protection Association released an updated report on the Total Cost of Fire in the United States. It can be seen from the report that the total cost of fire in 2010, adjusted for inflation, is 38 percent higher than in 1980, while its proportion of U.S. gross domestic product has declined by roughly one-third.
