As we are aware, there have been a number of layoffs for call/volunteers from their regular jobs. Many Fire Departments have reported problems with their firefighters trying to collect unemployment benefits when layoffs happen.

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is now accepting nominations for the NVFC Lifetime Achievement Award and the Fire Prevention Award.
