As we are aware, there have been a number of layoffs for call/volunteers from their regular jobs. Many Fire Departments have reported problems with their firefighters trying to collect unemployment benefits when layoffs happen.

Nominate an Outstanding Firefighter for National Awards

NVFC awards recognize volunteer firefighters for lifetime achievement, fire prevention



The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is now accepting nominations for the NVFC Lifetime Achievement Award and the Fire Prevention Award. Recognize an outstanding volunteer firefighter in your department or community by nominating them for one of these prestigious national awards. Nominations are due March 1, 2012.
